The department of Chemistry has been engaged in imparting quality education and has focused upon addressing key scientific problems, which have gathered worldwide appreciation and recognition. The Department works hard to provide value based education along with science education.

HIGHLIGHTS:

• Department has conducted student research project "SPICE" funded by VGST.
• Department has well equipped laboratory with latest digital colorimeter, potentiometer, PH meter, magnetic stirrer, conductivity meter etc
• Students are encouraged to give seminars on the topic of their choice to build confidence.
• Chemistry students under the guidance of faculty members have represented the college for various intercollegiate chemistry competitions and won prizes.
• Guest Seminars and Workshops on interdisciplinary areas of Chemistry have been arranged in the college.
• Study material and questionnaire on chemistry topics are provided to students. 
• Former H.O.D of chemistry Smt. Shobha. S awards prizes in each semester to encourage top most marks scorers in chemistry, for each semester.
• The staff members along with the students visits every year, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore on ‘Open Day’ (On the occasion of National Science Day)
• In the academic year 2018-19, Students have participated actively in Science Exhibition, street play, quiz competition etc .
• Cool Chemistry experiments activities were conducted as a part of EC/ CC activities.
